Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Position the rack in the center of the oven.
Grease an 8-inch (20 cm) round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper. Grease the paper as well.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the 4 eggs and the entire can of sweetened condensed milk. Whisk vigorously for 2–3 minutes until the mixture is smooth, slightly frothy, and uniform in color.
Sift the self-rising flour over the wet mixture. Gently fold or whisk on low speed just until no dry streaks remain. Do not overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Tap the pan gently on the counter to release large air bubbles.
Bake for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs. The top should be light golden brown.
Cool in the pan on a wire rack for 10–15 minutes. Then invert onto the rack, remove parchment paper, and cool completely before slicing
